Killing Joke Film proprietor Paul von Stoetzel is co producing a feature documentary with director Jim Tittle about frac sand mining the the Midwest called THE PRICE OF SAND. The documentary will examine the large industry of frac sand mining and its impact on the environment and rural communities. Please check out their IndiGoGo campaign and help out any way you can, even if it’s just to help get the word out. Frac sand mining is effecting many, many communities and needs to be examined.

Our joint production with Brute Force Films of Dennis Tafoya’s adaptation of his own ward nominated short story “How to Jail” is set for initial production at the end of July. We have endured several setbacks and several schedule changes but we are stronger for it and are quite determined and focused as we move forward with this very exciting endeavor.

And as a celebratory note we officially release the full trailer for “How to Jail” featuring Peter Christian Hansen.

The play is Pinter’s political torture play based on the torture sessions in Turkey in the mid 80′s. It features Charles Hubbell as the brutal military interrogator Nicolas, Lijesh Krishnan as Victor, the father, Ariel Pinkerton as Gila, the mother, and Morgan Ginta as Nicky their son.

The show runs every Friday and Saturday night for 3 WEEKS at Minneapolis’ Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre

Our first short documentary, “My Friend Root Rot” has just been uploaded to our YouTube page. “My Friend Root Rot” is a short documentary exploring two eccentric characters and their peculiar friendship. Root Rot is a horror podcaster of a show called “The Midnight Podcast” who hides his identity behind a gas mask and has an obsession with card tricks. R.P. Whalen (Rock ‘n’ Roll Ray) is a filmmaker and horror host who befriends Root Rot from across the nation. This short documentary takes a sincere look at two off beat persons and how their personalities and strange interests unite them.
